St. Sophia Seminary, located at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of USA’s headquarters in South Bound Brook, New Jersey. He graduated in 1994 with a Master of Divinity Degree.

State University of New York College at Oswego. He graduated in the spring of 1984 with a focus on writing, journalism, and publishing.

Ordained to the Holy Priesthood on June 26, 1994, by Archbishop Antony.
Background:

first pastoral assignment was at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Youngstown, Ohio, where he served from October 1994 until February 2007

transitioned to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, receiving a Canonical Release from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA.

assigned to the Vancouver Island District, serving Saint George in Victoria, BC,

joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a Chaplain, with the rank of Captain

served at the Canadian Forces Training Base in Wainwright and became the first Orthodox Priest to serve as a Chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces since World War II.

October 1, 2000:
Consecration of the domes.
A Church Domes Committee was established and co-chaired by Ben Shuvera and Lawrence Chubey. Plans were drawn, and an appeal for donations was undertaken. The Millennium Domes were constructed and installed in time to be blessed on October 1, 2000. Two hundred parishioners and guests gathered for a Canonical visitation and Divine Liturgy. The morning ended with Metropolitan Wasyly blessing the three domes assisted by attending Clergy. A short program followed the celebratory dinner enjoyed in the auditorium.
October 5, 1964:
Completion of the construction of the Church
In 1963, under the chairmanship of Mr. William Perrick, the parish purchased property for the site of a new church which is now 1500 Day Street.
In the afternoon of April 5, 1964 the Late Metropolitan Ilarion, assisted by Right Rev. Bishop Boris and local clergy consecrated the land on which the new church was to be built. The same month construction of the new church had begun. On October 5 of the same year, construction was completed.

The First Divine Liturgy
The Ukrainian Orthodox people of Transcona, Manitoba began organizing a parish in 1954. The first Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the Very Rev. Fr. H. D. Hryeyna on November 7, 1954 at the Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian National Home on Regent Avenue. Immediately following the Divine Liturgy, a meeting was called to elect a temporary parish executive. It was as follows: President: Mykola Stefaniuk, Secretary: Harry Maslanko, Treasurer: Michael Haletsky, Church Elder: Adam Kasianchuk, Church Sisters : A. Kralka & A. Uhryniuk.
